The Slabinski Funeral Home was established in 1917 by Joseph F. Slabinski. Over the past years, the Slabinski family has carried on a tradition of exemplary service and attention to each family’s needs. Joseph F. Slabinski III is Supervisor of the firm’s daily operations, and prides himself with over 40 years of experience in funeral service. Joe follows in the footsteps of his father Joseph F. Jr, mother Elizabeth, who up until her death in 2000, was Supervisor of the family service.
In 2003, the face of the funeral service in Philadelphia changed when nearby Sucharski Funeral Home and the Slabinski Funeral Home merged and combined their staff and facilities to better serve the community.
The Slabinski Funeral Home and Sucharski Funeral Home's philosophy is "to provide the highest standards in quality care and perform services in a sensitive manner". They take pride in the ability to walk each family through the funeral process in a dignified way.
"We only see our family during weddings and funerals" - Family members state this so often throughout the year, says Joe Slabinski, thus he and his staff of directors strive to provide the setting and services to create a meaningful funeral ceremony.
