Veronica Lea Cariss, 59, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 21, 2026.

She was the beloved wife of Anthony D’Alonzo.

Veronica was the cherished mother of Daniel Bowe and was predeceased by her daughters Leanna Marie Bowe and Nikole Desiree Bowe.

She is survived by her grandchildren Aiden Bowe, Billie Bowe, Brody Bowe, and Annalea Bowe, who brought her great joy.

She was also survived by her sisters Sandy Jacobus and Sam Leemon, and her brothers Michael Cariss and Thomas Cariss. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Cariss.

Veronica leaves behind numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces who will remember her with love.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, Veronica will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather to remember Veronica on Thursday August 27, 2026 from 10am-12noon at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila., PA 19137. (Parking on premises) Words of Remembrance will begin at noon. Interment will be held privately.
