Thomas P Qualters, 80, of Philadelphia Pennsylvania

Tom was born in 1942 to Francis and Gertrude (nee Perczynski). He is a graduate of North Catholic High School and upon graduation entered the U.S. Navy, stationed on USS Mauna Loa as a gunners mate. He then joined the Philadelphia police force, which was a childhood dream. Tom then worked for the Turnpike Commission at interchange 29, until his retirement. 
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Laraine (nee Jones). His children Kim (Patrick), Lorrie (Larry) and Tommy (Maureen). His grandchildren Vincent (Kati), Alea (Greg), Lauren (Flo), Eric, Liam, Erin (Jesse), Logan, Rylee and his great grandchildren, Oriya and Sage. He has one remaining sister Carole. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and the wonderful neighbors of Thompson Street.  

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Gertrude, his sisters Elaine, Joan and Gert. 

Family and friends are invited to his viewing at Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home 2614 Orthodox Street Philadelphia,  PA 19137 on Monday December 11, 2023 from 10am-12pm.   Interment will follow the viewing at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory to Fox Chase Cancer Center, foxchase.org,  would be appreciated by his family.
