Thomas Joel Hurly

Thomas Joel Hurly, 82, passed away on July 3, 2026. Son of the late Henry and Sophie Hurly. Sadly missed by his loving companion and his everything, Marianne H. Stone. Beloved father of Diane M. Laurence (Christian) and Shannon Hurly (James). Loving pop pop to Sophia Laurence, Chad Laurence, Darby Laurence, Dillon Laurence and Easton Boyajean. Tom will be missed by his pet bird Rougie and will be remembered as a long time fan of old science fiction and honor films. He would usually spend Saturday evenings watching his favorite celebrity - Svengoolie. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 beginning at 10 AM at St. Bartholomew's Church, 5600 Jackson St., Philadelphia, PA 19124. (Please enter thru rear of church, Cheltenham Ave. entrance). Funeral Mass 11 AM. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory to either St. Bartholomew's Church or to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Poke, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852 would be appreciated by his family.
