It is with great sadness that we announce that Reynaldo N. Manosca, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2026. Reynaldo was the beloved son of the late Francisco and Julia Manosca. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Wilhelma; his children, Jennifer (Jonathan), Jeffrey, and Reynaldo Jr. (Abby); and his three cherished grandchildren, Jetson, Jace, and Julian, who lovingly called him “Lolo.” He is also survived by his brothers, Santiago and Francisco Jr.; his sisters, Patricia, Manolita, and Gloria; and his close cousin, Adela. He joins his other nine brothers and sisters in heaven.

Reynaldo will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and neighbors. He will be remembered for his generosity, strength, unconditional love, and, above all, his big smile and hearty laugh that could fill a room. At every party and family gathering, Reynaldo was ready to entertain. He loved karaoke, dancing, and encouraging everyone around him to join in the fun. His positive, adventurous spirit and ability to bring people together made him a joy to be around.

Born in the Philippines into a large family of 14 brothers and sisters, Reynaldo came to the United States in 1976 to begin a new chapter in his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Newport (LST-1179) and later moved closer to family living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. English was his second language, but he embraced every new experience with determination, humor, and optimism. He eventually made his way to Baton Rouge, where he met his beloved wife, Wilhelma, while working as a Correctional Sergeant at the Hunt Correctional Facility in Geismar, Louisiana. The Southern lifestyle suited him well. Over the years, their home was often filled with friends and neighbors, along with plenty of Louisiana boiled crawfish—followed, of course, by a night of karaoke. He raised their three children in Louisiana before moving his family back to the South Jersey area in 1988. He worked for Caesars Casino for two years, at the Atlantic City Medical Center – Mainland Division for one year, and finally at the United States Postal Service for more than 20 years. Reynaldo retired in 2013, allowing him to spend more time with his adult children and grandchildren.

Reynaldo devoted his life to his family. He was a proud and loving father who took his children’s education, accomplishments, and passions seriously. He was always there to support them, whether driving them to martial arts practices and tournaments across the country, cheering them on through their many endeavors, or supporting them throughout their education. His greatest joy came from seeing his children and grandchildren grow, succeed, and find happiness.

We are heartbroken by his loss, but comforted knowing that he passed peacefully after a long illness. Reynaldo leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, cherished memories, and a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for his viewing at Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox Street, Philadelphia, PA 19137 (parking on premises). Prayer services will begin at 11:30 a.m., with interment to follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery at 4300 Almond St., Philadelphia, PA 19137.
