PATRICIA M. (nee McDonald)

Age 68, on April 12, 2017. Beloved wife of John B. McCormick. Loving mother of Katharine L. McCormick and her husband Daniel Elie and the late John P. McCormick. Adored grandmother of Annabelle and Mary Rose. Patricia was a registered nurse who devoted 25 years of her nursing career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. She brought her special capacity for love and caring to the sickest of newborn infants and a special empathy to their parents. Patricia held a BA in English from the University of Pennsyl-vania and a BSN from Eastern University. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Society, the National Association of Neonatal Nurses and the Academy of Neonatal Nursing. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday eve 6 to 8 P.M. at the SLABINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila. Pa. 19137. An additional Viewing will be held on Tuesday beginning at 9 AM at St. Bernadette Church, Turner Ave., between Bond and Marvine Aves., Drexel Hill, Pa. 19026. Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 AM. Int. Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation in Pat's memory to her alma mater, Little Flower High School for Girls, 1000 W. Lycoming St., Phila. Pa. 19140 would be appreciated by her family.
