Michael B. Stango

May 31, 1980 — June 6, 2022

Michael Benjamin Stango, Sr. Born May 31, 1980 passed away suddenly on June 6, 2022. Mike was the loving husband of Ashley Shimp Stango and the father of Michael Benjamin Jr., Noah James, Giovanni and a daughter to break up the boy crew expected to arrive this November. Mike is also survived by his father Benjamin Stango, mother Claire Asman Stango, sister Melissa Staublein (Mike), brother Nicholas Stango and niece Samantha and nephew Jackson, father and mother in-law, Nick and Karen Jenkins, Mom-Mom and Pop-Pop in-law Kathy and Bob Shimp, Brothers-in-law Derrick (Hemanti) Dignam and Brendan Fenton, Godson Paul Asman and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. Mike was a proud alumnus of St. Martin of Tours and Northeast Catholic High School class of 1998 where he played on the baseball team. Mike was loved by so many and had a smile that could light up a room. He had the gift to make people feel comfortable and welcome when you were with him. He was well known in his former neighborhood of Summerdale where he participated in numerous sports- especially baseball- and embraced his most recent neighborhood Bridesburg. Mike went by lots of names like CAM or Mikey Noodle, but the greatest name he ever had was dad. His sons idolized him, and he was an active presence in their lives. Whether it was watching sports, wrestling around the house, watching WWE or simply hanging out, he did the best he could to be a great dad. Being a dad was his greatest accomplishment and he did it well.
