Michael Ochmanski Sr., 71, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, June 30, 2025, in Chesapeake, VA due to health complications.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he had been a resident of Chesapeake, VA for the past 3.5 years in retirement. He was a graduate of Frankford High School, class of 1972. Mike was a successful business owner in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia for two decades, owning and operating Counter Attacks, which specialized in custom Corian countertops and cabinetry. He also owned and operated Lori's Deli with his wife, Lori, during that time. 

In his retirement he spent time in the sun working on his tan and in his wood working shop creating and sharing his heirloom Corian pieces. He never passed up a buffet with crab legs or a seat at a hot slot machine. Mike was never without a toothpick and a Wawa coffee, his version of "Happy Hour".

Michael lived a full life surrounded by family and friends that will miss him deeply.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lori, of 34 years; his son, Michael Jr. and Jennifer; four grandchildren: James (MacKenzie), MaKenna (Jakob), Michael III, and Jessica, as well as one great-grandchild, Theo Michael. Michael is also survived by his siblings John Ochmanski (Eleanor), Edward Ochmanski, Dorothy Corcoran, Lorraine Horvath and Rose Conicella. As well as many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, John and Stella Ochmanski (Cichocki), sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Frank Tomczak; sister-in-law Joanne Ochmanski; and two brothers-in-law Paul Corcoron and Steve Horvath.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather to remember Mike on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, beginning at 6pm at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila., PA 19137. (Parking on premises) An additional viewing and his funeral will continue Thursday, July 10, beginning at 9 am at St. John Cantius Chapel, 4410 E. Thompson St., Philadelphia, PA 19137. (Parking is available behind the large church, you may enter off of Thompson St or Almond St.) His Funeral Mass will begin at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery 5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020.

For all those who plan to attend Mike’s viewing Wednesday evening, the family kindly requests family and friends to wear Eagles attire or Eagles green.
