Michael T. Groves, Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 29, 2026 at the age of 80. Loving Fiancee of Debbie. Beloved dad of Michael (Renee), John (Erica) and David. Pop-Pop of Aaron (Ashlyn), Audrey, Jack and Madi. Great grandpop of Landon and Violet. Dear brother of Thomas (Susan) and Peggy. He will also be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and their families. Mike proudly served as a soldier in the US Army and then became a firefighter for the City of Philadelphia for 33 years. Mike was a member of AOH #22, Retired Firefighters Local #22 and Elks Lodge 1896. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on Thurs. Nov. 5, 2026 beginning at 9:30am at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Ave., Phila., PA 19114. Funeral mass will begin at 11am. Int. Resurrection Cem.
