Loretta M. Gallagher

Loretta M. Gallagher (nee Chirico), age 84, of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late William "Bill" M. Gallagher. Dearest mother of the late Paul Gallagher.

Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, Loretta was raised in Philadelphia, where she raised her own family and created a lifetime of cherished memories.

Loretta was a devoted Mother and MomMom, whose love and care touched everyone around her. She found joy in music and loved spending time watching her favorite TV shows, coloring, and playing games. She loved sharing all of these joys with each of her children which made it special for all of them to share with her.

She is survived by her children William Gallagher (Flo), Rea Gallagher, Louis Gallagher (Diane), and Colleen Gland (Edwin); her beloved grandchildren Amanda Gallagher, Samantha Gallagher, Paul Gallagher Jr., Sean Gallagher, and Jacob Gland; and six great-grandchildren.

Loretta will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She was kind ,patient , loving , selfless, caring, compassionate, empathetic,forgiving and one of the strongest woman we know.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral beginning at 9am on Saturday November 8, 2025 at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila., PA 19137. (Parking on premises). Religious services will begin at 10:30am. Interment will follow in East Cedar Hill Cemetery, Phila., PA.
