Karen Ann Sobczak

Karen Ann Sobczak, 61, passed away on April 8, 2026. Daughter of the late William A. Sobczak and Minnie G. Sobczak (nee Weingard).Beloved sister of William R. Sobczak (Deborah). Loving aunt of Danielle Porrevecchio (Anthony) and Dana Ruch (Alex). Great aunt of Sophia and Gabby Porrevecchio and Brynne, Mitchell, Elijah and Bryson Ruch. Karen was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 23, 1965. She attended St. Bartholomew grade school and graduated from Little Flower High School. She graduated from Villanova University with a degree in nursing. She started her career in nursing and built a distinguished career in health care management. She is known for her kindness, generosity, compassion, and most especially for her love of her family. She loved to travel, spend time with friends, and cherished every moment babysitting her nieces and later her great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be deeply missed and forever loved, now at peace and reunited with her beloved parents, her cousin Chrissy, and her faithful companion Chase. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 beginning at 9 AM at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 5600 Jackson St., Philadelphia, PA 19124 (please enter thru entrance off of Cheltenham Ave). Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
