John R. Kempczynski

John R. Kempczynski, age 89, passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2024.  Beloved son of the late Walter and Stella Kempczynski (nee Wojnar).  Brother of the late Walter Jr. John is survived by his nephew Walter John Kempczynski Jr. and his wife Amy-Jo and many dear cousins. John is a proud North Catholic graduate Class of 1953. He proudly served in the US Army and spent time in Japan. His main career was serving as an accountant at Crown, Cork and Seal. Later on in life, John enjoyed ceramics, cut glass and being involved as a member of the St. Jerome Parish and community. He also volunteered at Carding for Friends in NE Phila. John will be missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Sat. June 15, 2024 beginning at 10am at St. john Cantius Chapel, 4412 E. Thompson St., Phila., PA 19137. (Bridesburg section of Phila.) His funeral mass will begin at 11am. Interment follows in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
