John "bucky" Boyle

John P. "Bucky" Boyle who grew up in Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2021 at age 80 in the Deer Meadows Retirement and Rehab Community. He was the son of the late Grace and Joseph P. Boyle. He attended St. Michael's grade school and North Catholic High School, he then joined the Army after high school and proudly served his country in Vietnam. After returning home he worked at American Can Company until retirement. He enjoyed life, football, his family and friends. His favorite teams were the NY Giants and Yankees, was a member of the Hancock Hawks football team and loved playing the PA lottery. He was a longtime member of North Wildwood Elks # 1896 and loved spending summers at the New Jersey shore in Wildwood. He loved his snacks (especially his candy) and always was there to help a family member or friend in need, and will be truly missed by all of his friends, especially his Fishtown neighbors.

John will be deeply missed by all of his loving family members and friends including Evan, Erin, Joseph, Robert (Judy), Jerry (Barbara), Margaret, Debra (Andrew), Donna Marie, and Thomas.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday April 22nd 2021 from 10AM to 10:45AM in St. Michael's Church 1445 N. 2nd Street, Phila., PA 19122. Funeral Mass will begin 11 AM. Interment and Military Honors will occur 1 PM precisely in Washington Crossing National Cemetery Newtown PA. Please wear your mask and remain socially distant. In lieu of flowers, your donations to The Pennsylvania Veterans' Trust Fund, Building O-47, Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville PA 17003 would be appreciated.
