Jane C. Flynn

Jane C. Flynn (nee Weart), 92, passed away on September 1, 2023.

Wife of the late Joseph L. Flynn. Beloved mother of Jane A. 'Jan' Flynn, Joseph M. Flynn (Margaret), Gail M. Jakimowicz (Francis), Colleen M. Doria (Edward) and the late Maria Brown (the late Ronald). Loving grandmother of Megan Mc Ilhinney (James), Katie Pottichen (William), Amy Cassidy (Thomas), Cara Campbell (Benjamin), Amanda Brask (Patrick) and Megan Brown. Dear great-grandmother of Ella Mc Ilhinney, Shea Mc Ilhinney, Liam Pottichen, Thomas Cassidy, Clare Cassidy, Ava Campbell and Chase Campbell. Jane was born in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia on July 12, 1931 where she lived for 92 years.  She was a homemaker who loved to garden and was very passionate with helping others.  She was involved in the Parent Teacher Association when the children were attending school and In later years Jane became involved in Aid for Friends (Caring for Friends) as a coordinator for All Saints Parish preparing meals and visiting the elderly shut ins.  She had a beautiful voice and sang in All Saints Choir for 40 years and also did the weddings and funerals where many people requested her.  This was all done while raising five children with the love of her life.   Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral on Friday, September 8, 2023 beginning at 9 AM at the St. John Cantius Chapel, 4410 E. Thompson St., Philadelphia, PA 19137.  Funeral Mass 11 AM. Burial to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Caring for Friends, 12271 Townsend Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154 would be appreciated by her family.
