Howard W. Ashton

HOWARD W. ASHTON, 86, passed away on August 28, 2026. Survived by Jeanie L. Ashton. Beloved father of Darlene M. McKee (Kevin), Craig Ashton, and the late Mark Ashton. Also sadly missed by his grandson, Brendan McKee, 2 granddaughters, relatives, and friends.

Howard began his career as a lab technician at Remmey Division of A.P. Green Firebrick Company. Then he went on to being a truck driver at Philly New Jersey Truck Company and then Eastern Express. Later on, he then started his own business at J & H Auto shop in Bridesburg. When he retired, he taught truck driver operation. He also learned to fly a helicopter. He loved to watch anything about WWII and the voice on Utube. Sometimes even singing along. Howard loved to talk gibiris language back and forth with his grandson, Brendan.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 10am - 12noon at the Slabinski-Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Philadelphia, PA 19137. (Parking on premises). Religious services will begin at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Howard's memory to ASPCA, due to his love of animals, would be appreciated by his family. Burial will be held privately.
