Herman Edward Nowakowski "Ed" age 79, passed away on April 27, 2024. Herman was preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra, and son Edward. He is survived by his son Stephen (Doreen) and Grandsons Stephen (Chelsey) and James.

Born in in Bridesburg section of Philadelphia, Herman went from being an Alter Boy at St John Cantius Church, to a Father Judge Graduate, to a Philadelphia Police Officer, and remained in the area to raise his family. Along the way he enjoyed classic cars, boating, fishing, getting together with his friends, and most of all his Grandsons.

Relative and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Friday, May 3, 2024 beginning at 11am at the Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila., PA 19137. Services will begin at 12 noon. Interment Magnolia Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
