George R. Boyko

George R. Boyko, age 76, of Philadelphia, passed away on October 31, 2022. Dear son of the late Walter and Theresa (nee Szelc) Boyko. George is survived by his daughter Melissa Fisher(Chris) of Saverna Park, MD, his brothers Walter Boyko (Mary Finley) of Norristown, PA and Kenneth Boyko (Frances) of Orefield, PA, grandchildren Tyler and Alex. George will also be sadly missed by his nephews and nieces Steve, Andrew, Lisa, Maxine and Great nephew Arthur. George had fond memories of camping at Treasure Island Scout Camp while a member of Troop & Ship 314 in Philadelphia. After Philco technical school, he worked 20 years at Westinghouse Space & Defense Center Baltimore MD. as an electronic technician. He then moved to Allentown PA. and was employed by Bell Laboratories working in testing and circuit design of semiconductors. In his later years he worked at Home Depot Richmond store in the electrical department. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Sat., Nov. 12, 2022 beginning at 10am at Slabinski Sucharski Funeral Home, 2614 Orthodox St., Phila., PA 19137. Religious services will begin at 11:30am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated by his family.
