Frances M. Maier

Frances Mary Maier, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 surrounded by her daughters. She was the wife of Bernard Joseph Maier who passed away in November of 2018. She is survived by daughters Laura Cazayoux and husband Chriss of Mandeville, LA; Jeanne Pinheiro and husband Jim of Wayne, PA; Amanda Wise and husband Corey of North Wales, PA; and Elyse Vlahos and husband Anthony of Plymouth Meeting, PA. A proud grandmom to 6 grandchildren, Lyle (d.2024) and William Cazayoux; Jesse, Dylan and Emmett Wise; Francesca Vlahos and another Vlahos grandchild expected in February.

Prior to marriage, Frances worked as a grade-school teacher and then at the Philadelphia Arsenal. Frances stayed at home raising her young daughters and then rejoined the workforce as an office assistant in several offices in Bucks County. She and Bern retired to Ocean City, Maryland where they enjoyed their view of the lake for 20 years. Together they ventured on car trips and European vacations, and always loved relaxing time at home, especially when family was visiting. Fran was a master gardener, enjoyed porcelain painting, puzzles and needlepoint. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who appreciated being with her family above all.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 10 AM in the St. John Cantius Chapel, 4410 E. Thompson St., Philadelphia, PA.. 19137. Int. Private
