Ellen Gipson

GIPSON ELLEN RITA 84, born May 17, 1937 in Philadelphia, passed peacefully on Tuesday April 26, 2022, in her home, surrounded by family and loved ones. Ellen is now reunited in heaven with her dearly departed husband William. Ellen was a loving mother of Ellen, Mary (Michael), Judy (Chris), Leonard (Alison), Joseph, and Stephen (Laurie) and the late Margaret, William (Kimberly)and Joanne (Austin). Ellen was blessed with 23 Grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Loving sister of Margaret, Anna, Edward, Bernard (Lori), Katherine and reuniting in heaven with Elizabeth, William, Mary, James, Thomas, and Joseph. Also sadly missed by nieces, nephews and their families. "Mrs. Gipson" was a devoted parishioner of All Saints and lovingly referred to as "Pani Ellen" during her 40 years of service preparing dinner for the nuns and clergy at St. Johns Cantius, where a 5 foot Irish woman from Schuylkill earned a reputation as one of the best Polish Cooks in Bridesburg.
