Edward F. Zawierucha, Sr., 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 3, 2026. Edward Sr. (Eddie) proudly served four years in the United States Navy, working as a mechanic in the ship’s engine room. After his honorable discharge, he continued his career as a mechanic until his retirement and remained the person family and friends relied upon for anything mechanical, lending a helping hand whenever it was needed. Eddie had a great love for the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and gardening, and was a member of the yacht club in Bridesburg. He loved riding his motorcycle, especially to the local veteran’s club, where he spent many enjoyable hours playing shuffle pool with fellow veterans and friends. Eddie was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan and had a love for Elvis music and movies as well as classic John Wayne and Wild West Films. Eddie had a true zest for life which was evident to everyone around him, along with a special knack for sharing funny and memorable stories from his life that brought both light and laughter. Above all, Eddie’s greatest love was for his family, who meant everything to him.

Eddie is the son of the late Joseph and Jane Zawierucha, husband of the late Mary Guenther, father of Edward Zawierucha, Jr. (Christine), John Zawierucha (the late Denise), Mary Derr (the late Kevin), Jimmy Zawierucha (Lori), Donna Wilson (Steven), Jay Zawierucha (Cindy), Mark Zawierucha (Marla), the late Catherine Zawierucha, the late Jessica Convery, Annette Singleton, and stepfather of Shelby Seelinger. Eddie is also the dear brother of Barbara O’Brien (George), Jeannette Zarzycki, the late Theresa Beeson and the late Joe and Walt Zawierucha, and uncle of Cheryl Zarzycki Woelkers (Aaron), the late Justin and Jason Zarzycki, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many other cherished nieces, nephews and will fondly be remembered as “Uncle Eddie” to many.
