Dorothy Hahn

Dorothy Hahn was born on September 28, 1933 to Joseph and Josephine Schanne. She lived most of her life in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia. She married her beloved husband, the late Frank T. Hahn, Jr. on January 21, 1956. They went on to have five children: William (Emily), Dorothy Lang (Robert Pomager), the late Patricia, Barbara Sweeney, and Elaine Shields (Michael). She also is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and stay at home Mom. When her children were more independent, she became the Parish Secretary for All Saints Roman Catholic Church, where she worked for more than 20 years. She then became the School Secretary for St. Jerome's Catholic School where she stayed until her retirement in June 2014 at the age of 80 ½. One week after she retired, she moved to Juniper Village at Bucks County (formerly Woodriver Village) where she lived a carefree life filled with friends, fun, and adventures.
Unfortunately, this past summer her health declined and she made the difficult decision to transition to hospice care. She remained at Juniper in the skilled nursing unit until her peaceful passing on Monday, April 3, 2023.  Our family would like to thank the staff at Juniper and Angelic Hospice for the excellent care she received on her journey. We would also like to acknowledge family and friends for their support and care throughout Mom's life. She was happiest when she had visitors and loved to sit and talk with them for hours. She will be truly missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday April 11th from 11 AM to 12 noon in St. Ephrem's Church 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem.  Dorothy’s funeral mass will begin at 12 noon and her interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
