Cecilia Olender

Cecilia Olender (nee Kazmierczak) 79, of Philadelphia, died Monday, June 7, 2021. Born on January 17, 1942 in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Josef and Josepha Kazmierczak (Kolodziejska). Devoted wife of the late Krzysztof "Chris", loving mother of twin daughters Christina Benham (David) and Alicia Shelkin (finacee' Kevin). Cecilia was an x-ray technician for the majority of her life but also managed the family business, Chris' Auto Center. She was certified as an emissions inspector and was found frequently delegating orders to the mechanics on duty. Mom enjoyed being treated as a "queen" and enjoyed being fawned over by her family. Lastly, she enjoyed cooking for her family especially her grandchildren. The grandchildren's favorite dishes were tomato soup, beef barley soup, and crepes topped with fresh strawberries. Surviving are two sisters, Irene and Jane along with her dear grandchildren Dylan, Ryan, Jacquelyn and two great-grandchildren Brooke and Sadie. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday 9 AM at St. John Cantius Church, 4416 East Thompson St. Funeral Mass will begin 10 AM. Interment Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery.
