Alfreda R. Janczuk

June 6, 1924 — February 10, 2021

Alfreda Janczuk, 96, passed away while under hospice care at The Philadelphia Protestant Home on February 10, 2021. Cause of death was heart failure. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 60 years, Joseph L. Janczuk, in 2002 and her son, Frederick, in 2009. Alfreda, a devoted homemaker and mother, spent her life spreading joy and love to her immediate and extended families and everyone she met. She was a devoted member of St. Valentine's Polish National Catholic Church for 92 years. Her first love after family was her garden. She could be found at any hour of the day tending the flowers. Additionally she was an painter and a sculptor. It was her interest in art that inspired her son, Joseph, to pursue a career as an artist and art teacher. Alfreda is survived by her sons Thomas (Marylou) and Joseph (Robert), nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at St. Valentine's Polish National Catholic Church on Monday, February 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. All Covid-19 protocols will be followed with social distancing and wearing face coverings. The Funeral Services will be live streamed and can be watched by visiting https://www.stvalentinespncc.org/ and click on the tab Holy Mass online on Youtube. The burial will follow the mass at the church cemetery in Andalusia, PA. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Alfredas memory to St. Valentine's PNCC, 2330 Margaret St., Philadelphia, PA 19137.
